[The camera flicks on to reveal a young man with eyes so pale lavender and missing pupils that it might appear as if his eyes are white and unmarked at first glance. There's a small frown on his lips, and his eyes squint in a curious determination.

Through observation and intuition, he's puzzled out the purpose and general function of the device well enough to activate it, but unfortunately it has...so far...not provided illumination over where he's woken or how. Waking up after death is no surprise--it's happened more than once before, though the last time it happened to him he hadn't been as certain of his own death when he lost consciousness as this time.

Waking here, however...is less...understandable.]

Explain to me where this place is and why I've been taken. Have I missed the end of the war? [That seems the most reasonable conclusion: otherwise he would have been brought back out to the battlefield, wouldn't he?]

Magic and to become a Pokemon Master!

*You can't really trust Imogen to answer boring detail questions too seriously.*

It's not like we were given anymore details than you were. We woke up in that house with a Pokemon and a backpack and just... started off on an adventure.

That's how this place works.

To become a what? [Hadn't he heard someone else say that now? Pokemon, evidently, were the creature he'd been saddled with (a less useful and far less intelligent summoning creature without a contract), but if not possessing them, what defined 'mastery' of it?

Probably more importantly: why would he care?]

...Started off on an adventure. [Doesn't he just sound thrilled about that concept?] I have no interest in any of that.

Well, it'd be really boring not to adventure.

I mean, you can find something else to do here! It isn't like this world lacks in other avenues of making a life. But an adventure is the most and interesting thing to do!

Do you have anything better to do while you're stuck here?

[He scoffs in disdain at her observations. Whether due to this being some form of reincarnation or because great time has passed, return is unlikely, but that does not mean he has any interest in the offerings of this world. He is, after all, still a shinobi of the leaf. If he is to have a new life, then he should begin anew without the memories of his past one to compare with.

He says none of that. Instead he turns his head away from the screen with a huff.]

...Train in what? Ninja powers don't work here.

But, you can probably train some Fighting type Pokemon as sparring partners. If that's what'll make you happy...

Ninja powers are not the only thing to be trained. [He scoffs again. 'Powers'.] A teammate of mine specialized in pure taijutsu, which remains at my disposal in this world.

I did mention that you can use a Pokemon as a sparring partner for that, right? I didn't just think I mentioned that?

I guess you can focus on that! It wouldn't make me happy, but if it makes you happy that's what counts!

[...He frowns at the woman. Just. Frowns. It's difficult to pinpoint exactly what annoys him about her, but she certainly does annoy him. Perhaps it's her cheerful acceptance of the situation? Perhaps not.]

Sparring requires a worthy partner.

You're all mere and mortal, but that isn't the case with the local wildlife.

*Imogen uses her usual partner for this, Wildfyre. The rapidash makes a rather impressive pillar of flame before Imogen pulls the camera back to her.*

I'd show off some of my fighting types and their super cool kung fu actions but I don't have them with me! Maybe someone else can explain why you don't write off Pokemon so quick!

[He was referring to his Meditite, actually. Which is a rather pathetic creature when it comes to sparring potential. He's yet to encounter the wild pokemon.

However, the flame jutsu is interesting enough, it adds to his theory that the missing chakra is being funneled into the creatures instead.]

I'll bear in mind that the wildlife I encounter is capable of elemental jutsu. Is that the point you were trying to make?
